The finishing washer is used to close the space left by holes under the staircase bannister. It is placed at the top of your baluster. It is optional, and additional charges apply.

- 5/8’’ baluster: 7/8’’ drill bit

How can I calculate the number of balusters I need for my stairway?
For a sequence composed only of balusters
Measure the total distance to cover (the space between the first and last post) Subtract 4 from the total distance Divide this number by 4 and round up to the next whole number. The result of the calculation is the number of balusters needed to cover this sequence.
For a sequence composed of panels and balusters
Measure the distance covered by the selected sequence Calculate the number of sequences needed to cover that distance. Prestige Metal Tip Some configurations require more advanced calculations.
