In this residential project, Prestige Metal, a Canadian manufacturer of steel stringers and staircase components since 1997, contributed to the design of a custom floating straight staircase featuring the Chicago (LCH) steel stringer.
Designed for a minimalist and lightweight look, the stringer supports each solid wood step as if it were floating in mid-air. The project was completed in collaboration with Homestead Woodworks, an Ontario-based company founded in 1987, specializing in custom woodworking and high-end interior design projects.
This partnership perfectly illustrates the harmony between Prestige Metal’s Canadian engineering expertise and Homestead Woodworks’ artisanal craftsmanship.
Since 1997, Prestige Metal has been designing and manufacturing steel stair stringers, balusters, newel posts, and other custom interior staircase components in Canada.
Renowned for its high-quality materials, precision manufacturing, and long-lasting durability, the company collaborates with architects, designers, and contractors throughout Canada.
All products comply with the Quebec Building Code and international standards under the IBC (International Building Code).
